Scholarships – Update

 We are very excited several Scholarship opportunities for 2018.  In becoming a Chapter of GBTA, we now have additional Scholarships to offer the members of GBTA Nebraska Iowa Chapter. 

1 - CPC (GBTA Chapter President’s Council) Individual Scholarship 

Each year, the Chapter Presidents’ Council (CPC) grants scholarship awards to individual members of chapters or affiliates.   This year the CPC will award up to $7,000 in individual scholarship funds. Maximum scholarship amount per individual will be $1,500.  GBTA has generously extended the early bird deadline for Convention Registration to June 15^th for any scholarship recipient.  This Scholarship can be used for the GBTA Convention, GBTA Political Summit, GBTA offered and approved education certifications such as the GLP or GTP.   Timeline:  February 28, Scholarship Application closes

Who is Eligible:  Any Direct or Allied Member in good standing with their local Chapter/Affiliate during the 2018 season.  The Fine Print:

•          One application per member may be submitted
•          Scholarship is valid for two (2) years from date of award
•          A member can only win a scholarship once every 2 years
•          Scholarships cannot be used for any competitor events
•          Scholarships will be reimbursed once the educational event has been paid for. Proper receipts for the event must accompany a GBTA expense report which must be submitted to Robert McKay at robert.mckay@mastercard.com. Once approved, the expense report will forwarded to the CPC Leadership for reimbursement from GBTA.

2 - GBTA Funded Scholarships – All Chapter Members in Good Standing Eligible

The applicants will complete the Chapter application.  One Allied and One Direct Convention Registration ($995 each), will be awarded by the Chapter and paid for by GBTA.  Deadline is May 15th.  Chapter Scholarship Application must be completed and submitted by May 15th to scholarships@nibta.org.   Application located at

3 - CHAPTER Funded Scholarship – All Chapter Members in Good Standing are Eligible

One early bird convention registration will be awarded in the amount of $995.  Deadline is June 1^st.  All other factors apply as above.
